    Security Problem

    When I attempt to do a cold start I get this message. "Error 192: System Security - Embedded Security hardware tamper detected". Running XP Pro on my T61. Any ideas on a work around for this problem as I know for sure no one has tampered with this laptop.

    i had that too after intsalling some ram..i guess it detected someone trying to tamper with it..went away after a day or 2....

    now what i get maybe 1 out of every 4 startups saying that the embedded chp failed to load..which gets annoying

    Well mine comes and goes over a period of a week or more. I did not add any hardware to the thing so I'm a little confused...as usual. My overall impression of this particular laptop is fading fast.
