    If you read he got it via an IBM employee for the EPP program and the value is listed in Canadian $. So, it's going to be tough to impossible to find what he had at that price.

    Yes. I'm seeking the jasondavis 10/5/05 review unit T42 or T43 with the same specs including MS Office Pro for $1600. I'm aware of the EPP discount.
    The Canadian dollar conversion to US dollars is a rudimentary Calculation. $1 US =approx. $1.20 Canadian. Look up in the daily newspaper for a more exact #.
    e.g. $1,000 US =approx. $1200 Canadian
