What upgrades if any can be done on a T60 by the user without voiding the warranty?

Specifically, I am thinking about upgrading RAM in the future and perhaps changing the primary hard disk if Hybrid hard drives live up to the hype.

Ram, HD, palm rest, keyboard, wireless card(s), and battery are known user friendly. Hell, the included instruction manual shows you how to change you ram, so that has to be in the clear. Once the palmrest and keyboard are off, you get access to the other small parts.

Are the CPU's socketed? Can you later do a CPU upgrade (specifically on a z61?)

    Thanks..

Guess it means that the upgrade will have to wait for 2 yrs after purchase.

    Next question...

Is the display described as " WSXGA+ TFT with integrated camera" glossy or non-glossy? I think that the glossy display is better in daylight.

This is what i am looking at:

    https://www-131.ibm.com/webapp/wcs/...25011252&dualCurrId=1074743335&catalogId=-840

    Sorry for the long url.

No provision for upgrading battery and downgrading OS so I can do my own install.

I thought I was gonna get a 3000 on BF but the deal was not there

    Tnx
