Yes it fits. I'm using one with my X61 with 8 cell battery.

The allowable internal dimensions are listed, you really didn't need to ask. :)

I don't have my computer yet, and not sure what dimensions would be with the 8 cell, so I wanted to hear from someone actually using the rig. Thanks.

And in case you are wondering, the 11 inch Zero Shock III sleeve is a good/snug match for the X61 with the 4-cell battery. I have a few sleeves and the Zero Shock is the one I use the most due to its protective capability.

Just for the record, Zero Shock sleeves are not made by Shinza. They are made by the Japanese company Elecom. Shinza is simply a distributor who often likes to market Zero Shock products as their own.

Thank you Jabba -- that isn interesting! Iis there room in the sleeve for a mouse, or do you have to carry that separately?

It is already a very snug fit with the notebook by itself, but if your mouse isn't too tall, it should be possible to fit it into the small zipper compartment. It will however be somewhat of a stretch and I wouldn't recommend it, as I think it would put unnecessary pressure on the notebook. I personally only use the zipper compartment for documents and my passport.

Please note that I am referring to the 11" Zero Shock III sleeve and X61 with 4-cell enhanced battery. I have no experience with the 12" sleeve and 8-cell battery

What will fit in the side zipper pocket when using the eight cell battery? The 65 watt AC adapter possibly?

I got one of this today and there's no way in hell it fits X61 with 8-cell battery. I also notice they change the design of the sleeve (i got one 2 years ago and the outside texture wasn't this water-proof material).

Wonder how hard do you guys stretch the sleeve to engulf the whole x61 with 8-cell battery?

I contacted them, it fits the 8cell x61s. They even sent me a coupon for 10 or 15% off. Might want to contact them. I ended up getting the 12" zero shock notebook case though, wanted the extra compartment for my Slim DVD burner and power cable. I think this one would fit your tablet I have some room to spare with my x61s + 8cell.
