Shipping times for a T500?

Ok, so on the 26th, I ordered a T500 from the lenovo canada site for about $1150. My problem is, I will be out of the country soon (the 10th) and want to have the laptop before then. When I call lenovo to check the shipping date, it constantly changes, from 9days to 15days to 12days. My question is, are those dates accurate or do they usually ship earlier/later? Also, how long does it take (in canada) for the laptop to arrive after it's shipped?

 

I ordered my T500 on July 22. It was shipped on the 25th and arrived in Vancouver on the 27th and in Toronto that night. I *believe* it was delivered around the 29th -- unfortunately, not to me

I would constantly check your online order status for a UPS tracking number. If all goes well, you should have it within 7 - 10 business days of your order.

 

usually they ship earlier than estimated, unless your configuration included a part that was flagged as delaying your order. I had my T400 a week after ordering... in fact it arrived before the estimated ship date.

 

ordered mine on Friday and got shipping confirmation today. A lot sooner than I thought. Haven't got the tracking number but it should arrive withinthe week. I can't wait

but i still haven't gotten a tracking number. it said that it would be provided by now. anyone else use 2 day shipping?

 

Maybe mine will ship tomorrow, then (I ordered on Monday). I can only hope.

Oh I didn't. I am just speculating out loud. If you ordered yours on Friday and it shipped on Tuesday (3 business days) then maybe since I ordered mine on Monday it will ship on Thursday (3 business days). I can dream, can't I?

 

ohh haha, last time i checked you can. i thought you had recieved some sort of tracking or other confirmation.

 

Well it shipped today. Just got the e-mail saying

yep that was the email i got, but i still haven't gotten a tracking # even thou it's suppose to arrive today.

 

the ups man came and handed me a big folder with a privacy filter in it...what the crap!!!! guess the laptop is gonna bd a while. if you check your status, they give you a privacy filter for a penny and considers it a seperate accesory...got my hopes up and everything.

 

ipam45: I didn't get a tracking number too...got the shipping confirmation yesterday around 1 hour ago...maybe the shipping confirmation is for the filter -_-

 

it probably is since the filter is shipped from NC so it was pretty quick. but the lappy is being built in china and shipped from there so who knows when it will be done.

 

The "shipping information" that was on my order status was the tracking number of the freight shipment carrying my ThinkPad. Once it clears customs, there will be a tracking number for your particular shipment.

You can call CS. They sometimes have the tracking number that will be assigned to your particular shipment.

I ordered mine on July 13th and it's been delayed twice to August 13th. I call in and they tell me the same garbage every time that they don't know why it's been delayed. I have college starting in two weeks too

 

there is probably no good reason for your delay, but all the buyer recently has noticed a lot of price flucuation. i believe that lenovo is changing their inventory for the T510. alot of different parts has been appearing and dissapearing.

 

I don't know how you have not cancelled yours yet, SunKing. I guess you are just more patient than me but when I pay $1000+ I expect them to take my order very seriously and get it shipped when they say it will. If mine does not ship by August 20th I am going to have to cancel my order.

 

let's hope that doesn't happen, like some of you, college starts in a few weeks for me. being a computer tech at my school, what kinda of image would that send if i don't even have a laptop to help other people with their problem...

 

seems that some people who ordered t400 around the same time and we ordered our t500 are getting their tracking for the lappy.

update: just got a second shipping confirmation. hopefully i'll get it in a couple days
