Hi ive had my 14.1 ws t61 since about august with a 7 cell battery and a nvidia quadro140m. im really not happy with the battery life as i only get about 2.5 hrs even with power saver on. I was just wondering if this is what you guys get or if something is wrong with my laptop.
-
That doesnt seem to be normal, with my specs T7300, 2GB Ram, Quadro 140m, on power saver during normal usage, i get 3.5 hrs minimum...
-
What are your charging methods? How many cycles are on the battery?
-
Also, how many processes are you using and do you have the wireless on?
-
when I just do internet wirelessly, mine lasts a bit over 3 hours
-
-
wireless is on, most of the time the laptop is plugged in so would guess that there are only about 50 discharge and then charges on it
-
-
no the battery life is so short that most of the times it goes down to critical battery level before i charge it
-
Do powerpoint & word while media player is singing.
about 2.5 hours. still unsatisfied =< -
with my 15.4" t61p and a 9 cell battery, I get about 4 hours with min screen brightness, word processing, and wireless internet.
if i turn wireless off, i get maybe 4.5 hours. -
when I had the laptop connected to my car via USB to read engine parameters, the laptop lasted only 1:30 hours
I believe if I do heavy gaming, it should last about that much too.
Word processing or internet is no big deal, I would get 3 hours doing that -
I don't know what you guys are talking about. I went to the library yesterday, and lasted five hours on my t61p with 9 cell. Wifi was on the entire time and brightness was at 50%. I'm also working with the new T9300 and 100 GB 7200 RPM harddrive.
Short t61 battery life?
