    If it ends up being a simple firmware issue, I'll have two batteries ;).

    I allowed the tech to remote into my computer and all he did was to look around in the Lenovo Power Manager software (something I already did) and then gave me a free battery for it.

    Battery arrived at my house today (less that 24hr, to boot!). Way to go, IBM!

    lucky you! I wish lenovo/IBM didn't misplace my warranty entitlement... I had to buy batteries and replace fan all by myself and my own expense :(

    As far as the exterior, definitely. However, everything else works the same as it did when I first got it :). I did say that I'm not a kind person to my laptop ;)
