Found out just now that the T61P has wireless USB capability built it standard. I was thinking about ordering one with Bluetooth strictly for a wireless mouse. If it has this wireless USB in already would there be any point? I can't think of anything else I would really need bluetooth for?
-
where did you see the wusb is standard?
-
Your cellphone probably using Bluetooth isn't it. I'm not sure about the UWB since Lenovo took them of the options list.
-
Yeah I'm sure it does (don't use it) but I'm thinking of how I would use that with my laptop.
-
They don't have wireless USB standard anymore.
-
WUSB *was* standard but I don't believe it ships anymore or at least at the moment. Plus, you never know what you are going to buy in the future and what its capabilities will be.
I have Bluetooth peripherals, but very little exists right now in the WUSB space other than Belkin's wireless USB hub. It's a pretty cheap option, and beats having a dongle or PC Card with an antenna hanging out all the time. -
I guess I don't even see the option at all under the P models. My mistake (better throw bluetooth in then).

It has been hit or miss on whether or not your T61p will ship with UWB. Search the forums.....If your concerned, or want to make sure your have at least one of them installed...I would opt for the BT just as a backup. You can have both...w/ BT beiing fairly cheap $20-$30
Should I bother adding Bluetooth to a T61P since it has wireless USB?
