One of my orders got cancelled due to a mixup between two reps. They admitted they accidently cancelled and put the order back in, and as a result, back in the line. Can I do anything about this? Their suggestion on how to get the computer faster is to get something that's preconfigured, and add to it, but then it'd cost me more, and I'd be getting lower level components (since most preconfigured are core duo, and I wanted core 2 duo). I felt that wasn't worth it for me to pay an additional $150 or so, to get what I originally order minus the core 2 duo. They agreed, but said that's all I can do if I wanted it faster. So I went ahead and put the order back in, and now have to wait maybe a bit longer. Should I feel like I got the short end of the stick since they didn't offer me any compensation? Am I wrong for expecting something like that? Who would I talk to? Supervisor? Complaints? What would you do?

In my experience they regular line folks can do nothing to help you... I'd tell them you'd like to talk to complaints supervisor.

Well, if you truly need the Core 2 Duo (and pay a less price), you'll have to wait longer than preconfigured. Try calling again, different rep. even, give them your order # and tell them you need this asap. If you get lucky, they will put it on priority and you'll have it in days, rather than weeks.
