    Hi guys.

There is an opportunity to get this 15.4" T60 for $930 shipped.

    Specs:
    T7200 C2D
    2GB 667MHz RAM
    80GB 5.4k RPM HD
    WSXGA Display
    x1400 Mobility Radeon
    6 Cell battery
    Vista HP

Should I hit it or what? My budget is maxed currently so this will be the best I can do.

Is it brand new? What's the warranty? Seems like an okay deal, but I'd rather buy a T61 for a little bit more.

Well you save about $100-150 if you go with a similarly configured T61. I would say go for it if $980 is your max budget.

I would go for the T60. It's better quality in my opinion. I know several individuals with the T61. In comparison, the T60 looks and feels more solid and better built. I also paid $980; however, I wanted a T60 or the T61. Man to many little cometic things wrong with the T61. You can not tell the difference in speed. Quality you can!

It depends what your planning on using the laptop for. I was able to get a T61 14" with a C2D 9300 for just a hair above $1000. There is a 15% discount coupon you can use. I just went with the bare minimum: integrated graphics, 80gb hd, 802.11 a/b/g, base cd-rw/dvd-rom drive, fingerprint reader & thumbstick, and a downgrade to Vista Home Basic.

I wanted to get SUSE Enterprise 10 preinstalled since I already have a OEM copy of Vista Business.

I work at the hospital part-time and attend school. My main purpose was to have a small and light laptop to take to work, where I can review powerpoints and lecture notes during my breaks. So, it didn't really matter getting the discreet vs intergrated solution.
