The specs of my Thinkpad T61 are in my sig. The only thing that really concerns me is the 2GB RAM, as I hear some people saying in parts of the forum that x64 likes over 2GB when running games and media applications like Premiere and Photoshop.

Also, the software titles that I use on my machine are:
    Adobe Photoshop CS3
    Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0
    Age of Empires III
    Battlefield 2
    Chemdraw Ultimate 11
    Command & Conquer 3
    Daemon Tools 4.1
    iTunes
    Nero 7 Ultimate
    Oblivion
    Office 2003
    Orange Box
    WoW

And that list about sums it up for the software that I run on my computer.
I have also checked out all my hardware that I use with my system and there are current, stable 32 bit and 64 bit drivers for all of them, so no problems there.

So which should I go with, 32 or 64 or absolutely no difference? I get both versions of Vista Business free through my school.

    I install 64bit edition in my desktop,also try 32bit.
I could not find any different between them.and also I could find only little softwares designe for 64bit.
Maybe the only differense is RAM support.
so I think 32bit is ok

i should say, whether 32 or 64 bit. in the end. what matters is, all the software that you planning to install. are they can be used in 64 bit? AFAIK the main different is. 64 bit OS can handle RAM more than 3GB. cheers!! :D

those games you wish to install are 32-bit programmes and not gonna run smoothly under 32-emulator in 64-bit environment. if you are a gamer then forget about vista for now and go back to XP NOW!!!

im already fed up with the IE 7 crash bug in x64 vista. it stops running and restarts itself every 5 mins or so by its own without any warning. horror!!!
