I am not sure how bad the factory paste job is, but if I am having temperatures while gaming at 80 degrees c for both the GPU and CPU, do you think the laptop can last atleast four years?

1 - Something that resembles a golf ball sized blob of good paste gooped over the entire gpu/cpu
2 - a hard, dry "wafer" of clay like material
The first one isn't so bad if they hadn't applied quite so much, but the second type is definitely the worst. Every "paste wafer" (as I call it) I have replaced with decent paste like AS5 or Shin-etsu ive seen temp drops over 10c at idle and load
My current u430 touch had the "paste wafer" from factory, temps were abhorrent, 54c on idle on the ulv cpu. Replaced with shinetsu, 27-34c on idle depending on ambient temps. same with the 730m gpu.
If you have the ability to do so, I would do it. You cant make the temps worse (if you do it properly, anyway).....
Should I repaste my Lenovo y410P?
