Should the screen be so hot?

I accidentally touched the bottom of the screen of my x200s, the left side, and found it was very hot. The whole bottom part of the screen was hot, but the left side hotter. Is it normal?

Is it an LED backlit screen? If so then it sounds normal because LEDs get very hot -- that's one of their few drawbacks (they need good heatsinking to run properly).

I think so, like all x200s do. I wonder if this makes the screen short-lived or prone to damage?

I have a T500 LED and it is not hot at all. Not even warm.

Could it be affected by room temperature? The place I was at was very hot. Now I'm in a cooler place and the screen is also cool. In both cases I simply use the Internet.

But I would find such an explanation a bit funny...

I doubt it's to do with external temperature since that flucutates very little compared to LED chip temperatures. It could be to do with what your screen was displaying.
