    Hi,

I'm looking at purchasing a Sierra Wireless MC8775 WWAN module for my T61.

The T61 hardware manual lists three versions:

    1 - EMEA / ANZ Vodafone - 42T0931,
    2 - US (Cingular) - 42T0933,
    3 - SIM Unlocked - 42T0901.

I initially asked spare parts about the SIM unlocked version but they stated that this specific part is no longer available.

My next and only choice seeing I'm in Australia is the EMEA / ANZ Vodafone module.

The issue I have is that Vodafone isn't my provider in Australia and I'll be using the module overseas with different SIM cards so I need an unlocked version.

Spare parts haven't been able to advise if the card is locked and tech support haven't been helpful.

Has anyone got any info on whether this card is locked to Vodafone or not?

    Thanks
