Ok, so I'm considering to buy either the SL300 or the T400 laptop from Lenovo, but I'm a noob in purchasing laptops online and from overseas. The prices (665 and 1150 CAD) seems suspiciously low for such good laptops. So I guess I just wanted to know exactly how much additional costs do I actually have to pay? ie. shipping, taxes, etc? I'm hoping anyone who previously bought a Lenovo laptop in Canada could answer this question?

SL series isn't any good. Terrible build quality, no rollcage. Spend the extra money and get the T series.

I bought a Canadian T400 (2764-CTO). There are no shipping costs whatsoever, and the taxes are whatever the standard is in your province (I'm in Ontario, so it was 13%). I can't really think of any other additional costs you would have to pay, unless you want to expand upon the initial warranty (which I didn't). All in all, it's pretty cheap, and it can be even cheaper if you're able to take advantage of EPP (hint hint google), and coupons (also google).

    Good luck!
