So Ive had this problem since the day I got this. Now Ive reformatted and the problem persists.

I put the computer to sleep, it goes to sleep. I hit power button or Fn button and the computer boots up, or seems like something happens, yet the monitor does not turn on.

What the hell is the problem? I remember one time, and that time only when this did not happen, but ever since it happens everytime and I cannot fix it.

i don't know what the problem is, but i just wanted to let you know that i'm having the same issue. i've just disabled my t400's sleeping and hibernating abilities because i can't stand it, anymore.

A couple of things you could try to fix the problem...

    1) Make sure all video drivers are up to date
    2) Make sure all Lenovo updates are downloaded and applied
    3) Make sure all Microsoft updates are applied.

What you are experiencing can be a couple of different things ranging from bad drivers, to Vista having a problem as the sleep mode was initially buggy when Vista was released a year or so ago and should have been fixed with an update, to hardware issues that could be anything from a bad mother board to a bad screen.

What operating system are you using?
