My t520 keeps waking up if i just leave it in sleep mode, and drains the battery. I honestly don't know what the problem is, does anyone else have the same problem or is it just me?

it goes to sleep, and then once the lid is closed i hear the beep and it turns on. and then after a while, it goes back to sleep because of the timers that i have set for it.

Thank you, Tinderbox, i will try that.

Event Viewer > System log should reveal what is waking up the computer.

Also go through the power properties of each device in Device Manager and deselect any "Allow this device to wake the computer".

Possibly setting the lid to "do nothing" in power management would be a fix.

A BIOS update might fix this issue. I had a suspend problem different than yours on my X220 that a BIOS update fixed.

ThinkVantage System Update may find some Windows Update Modules that address this issue. Alternatively go search through the drivers and software for the T520 on Lenovo's site for Windows Updates and BIOS updates.

Listen to John Ratsey--most likely there is a program or something waking your computer.
