    Hi All,

Whenever I just close my laptop and put it in my backpack, later I notice that it is still warm when I take it out. I assume just closing it makes it sleep?

Is there a way I can change it to hibernate when I close the lid? I used a Toshiba laptop in the past which did a hibernate on closing and I would like this one to do the same.

    Thanks in advance.

Are you using Vista? If so, click on the battery icon on your taskbar, go to "Power Options", "Change power plan settings", "Change advanced settings" and change the lid close action to Hibernate.

Cool thanks. I looked at that screen before and completely missed the options on the left hand pane.
