can't we just buy one that's for a macbook pro? Those seem to be the best looking IMO...and they are a full body cover including zipper...has anyone tried these out on a 14" widescreen?

Hi, Here you have a link with many sleeves... the best way to make yours fit is to compare the measurements with the actual size of your notebook you are trying to fit. I have learned that you do not have to buy your case or sleeve based on the screen size alone... so that requires some extra work.... Good luck!

I have the case logic reversible 14" sleeve and it works great. Nice and snug, black on one side, blue on the other. Does its job well.

    standard screen?

    6 cell or 9 cell?

    thanks.

it seems to be too big for 6 cell according to the dimension.

I have the 14" standard screen with a 6 cell.

    eBags says the inside dimensions are: 13.1" x 10.8" x 1.83"

    The thinkpad 14.1" standard is: 13.2" x 9.3" x 1.09"

Having it sitting right next to me I was able to close the laptop and slide it in to check it out, fits very nicely in my opinion. I think you can get them cheaper on newegg then at eBags.

are you sure you have the standard screen?

because the dimension you listed is for widescreen model..

    The T60:
    14.1" screen config: 12.2" x 10.0" x 1.0-1.2" (width x depth x thickness)

Ahh I grabbed the dimensions from here without giving it too much of a look. http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=3708&review=ThinkPad+T61
Obviously that is a review for a widescreen, doh.

I do have a standard size screen.
    [IMG] Thats my T61.

I don't know what to say except it fits nice. I'd take a picture but my camera is at home and I wont be back there till the weekend. I'll try to post something up with my cellphone to show the comparison between case and TP.

Here you go, I tried to get pictures that would show how much extra space is left around the T61 14.1" standard screen laptop.

The first picture shows the laptop sitting ontop of the Case Logic 14" sleeve.

You can see the sleeve:laptop ratio may be a bit in favor of the sleeve, but really for me it works great. I am a student and I use the sleeve when putting the laptop into the laptop pouch on my backpack. I'll admit its not 100% snug, but it does it job and I feel its priced pretty well.
