Does anyone know any good slip cases for the X61 with the extended battery, I just need something that will protect it while its in my backpack when I go to school.

    Thanks

SFBags sells their Waterfield SleeveCases which will fit the X61. There are sizes available for the X60, X60s and X60 Tablet, for both the 4 and 8 cell batteries. The X61 series machines have the same dimensions AFAIK. You can order the SleeveCase in horizontal and vertical orientations with or without a flap or shoulder strap. I ordered one for my X61 Tablet. It's a very high quality product sold by a company with great customer service. The outside is made of ballistic nylon, and the inside is a squishy stretchy material which is quite thick. I just weighed the one I got (23-21 w/ flap) and it weighs around 1.1 lbs - it feels pretty heavy but it's not bad considering the level of protection it offers.

I was wondering what the exact dimensions on the Thinkpad x61 with the 8 cell extended battery are. I am thinking of purchasing a Shinza Zeroshock III 12-Inch Notebook Sleeve and I was wondering if the x61 with the battery sticking out will fit in this sleeve.
Would it be a better idea to go with the WaterField Sleeve instead of the Zeroshock. I have a feeling the Zeroshock can handle a bigger impact.
