I did a fresh install of Windows 7 professional 64 bit on my X201. When I purchased the X201, I chose the Lenovo 128GB SSD. With the fresh Windows 7 install, I am noticing that the SSD actually feels slower than before the fresh install.

    Has anyone else experienced this?

I did all the Windows updates, Lenovo system updates. This is getting to be very frustrating.

Thanks for the help. I think I found the problem. After I did the clean install and installed the Thinkvantage power manager, I did not select a power profile. After I selected maximum performance when plugged in, everything seemed very snappy. The x201 definitely seems snappier than before the clean install.

I can't really tell between balanced vs. maximum performance. But I can definitely tell the difference when "lowest performance" is selected.
