    Hi folks,

Just wondering if any of you suffer the same kind of issues.... when you want to transfer huge files from laptop to a USB external HDD, the transfer rate really crawls... from 2+ mbps to 5+ mbps... far cry from the HDD's read/write ability of 35mbps (as verified by say, HD Tach).

Is it that the thinkpad has its bottleneck when it comes to file transfer via USB? Any way to tackle the issue? Heard it's got to do with BIOS but after checking it there seem to be nothing wrong...

    :(

Try it on a different computer and see if the same thing is happening. Then you know if its the drive or the t60.
