    Hi All,

I have the following setup on my R61i

    Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T5250 @ 1.50GHz
    Core: Merom M0
    Clock: 1508.6 MHz
    Vcore: 1.25 V
    FSB: 670.5 MHz
    L2 Cache: 2048 KB

    Memory: 2038 MB DDR2
    Frequency: 335.2 MHz @ 5-5-5-15

    Mainboard: LENOVO 89329TM

    80GB 7200rpm HD
    15.4in 1280x800, Intel X3100
    Intel 802.11abg wireless

I did a wprime 32m with 2 threads and it took 82 seconds. I compared with the Hewlett Packard’s 14” dv2550 Special Edition (Verve) Pavilion reviewed at http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=3986 and with similar specs took only 55 seconds.

    Why is this so slow?

    Regards,
    Jeremy

Yes, that's slow. It's as if your CPU is running at 1GHz. Either that or you've got a lot of other processes running which are demanding a big share of the CPU time.

I suggest you us the monitoring facility in RMClock to check if your CPU is running at full speed. also use the Processes page in Task Manager to see how much CPU time the other processes are using.

Hrmms now that you mention it, I do recall CPUz showing my clock speed at 1GHz but I thought that was just a mistake. Now its showing 1.5GHz after I did a system update. How strange. I've just did another wprime and I got 57 seconds.

    Thanks
    Jeremy
