Still torn between X61, LG P300 and IBM X200 which the latter two are not availible yet.

But configured an X61 and have a few questions to justify if you'll be kind enogh to answer.

    The setting is:
    Processor: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T7500 NV (2.2GHz, 4MB L2, 800MHz FSB)
Operating System: Genuine Windows Vista Home Basic
Display: 12.1" XGA TFT, 2x3 Ultraconnect II antenna
    Total memory: 2 GB PC2-5300 DDR2 SDRAM 667MHz SODIMM Memory (1 DIMM)
    Pointing device: TrackPoint
Hard Drive: 100GB Hard Disk Drive, 7200rpm Serial ATA (2.5")
Intel® Turbo Memory hard drive cache Intel Turbo Memory 1GB
Mobile media base: ThinkPad X6 UltraBase
Media base bay devices: DVD Recordable 8x Max Dual Layer, Ultrabay Slim
    Bluetooth: Integrated Bluetooth PAN
    Wireless card: ThinkPad 11a/b/g Wi-Fi wireless LAN Mini-PCIe US/EMEA/LA/ANZ
Battery: ThinkPad X60 Series 4 cell Enhanced Capacity Battery

    Now my questions:
Is there much difference between 2.0ghz and 2.2 ghz?
The price difference is $40ish, so i guess not much to expect than?

I can downgrade/install fresh XP, right?
I've seen a thread like that..

I want 2gig in 1 DIMM, so that i can seperatly purchase another 2gig and can install myself right?
Thats what i did when i get the X41 (comes with 512, added 1gig later)
If i order with 1 gig, there will only be 1 slot to add extra ram, so max 3gig?

HD capacity not important, but swapping 5400 to 7200 i guess i may gain a little more speed, right?
That 1.8" 4200 (or was it 5400) was, stiil is, killing me in X41, but never filled 40gig in 3 years, so..

Is the "Turbo Memory" really worth it, is it something like adding a 2gig usb stick to vista that works like extra 2gig ram?

I get used to the battery sticking out, but my choise is 4cell, because in time they all die depending my experiance so why bother carrying that bump?
My 8cell on X41 tops MAX 1.3 hours of surfing with "maximum battery life" setting, was 2ish when new, so..

Most importantly, if i go for the above wireless setting do i get the "Ultra Connect Antenna" which i do not like to have? I mean is it a must/(all have it) or just an extra?
In the review i have seen here about X61 i did not noticed it.
What do i have to select to not to have it?

Hmm, its longer than i expected, anyway, thanx in advance..

I'd consider ditching turbo memory because you cannot use it with XP (in case you decide to go back). Also, I'd consider buying your own aftermarket RAM and getting 1 dimm 1 gig from Lenovo. I'd put that $$$ towards the better processor, or just save the $. Further, I love my 8 cell but if weight is a concern, stick with the 4 cell. If the 100gig 7200 rpm drive is similar in price to the 120gb 5400, then either choice is fine. I enjoy my 120 gb 5400 rpm drive.

Don't buy the RAM from Lenovo, Newegg will have a better price.

    Is this RAM ok?
    Transcend 2GB 200-Pin DDR2 SO-DIMM DDR2 667 (PC2 5300)

If i go for turbo memory (considering future vista usage), do i still have a slot for Transcend 2gb Ram?

    1 gig from lenovo +
    1 gig turbo +
    2 gig newegg
    =
4gb (but only 3gb will be availibe with XP), right?

turbo memory does not take up a RAM slot and is not included in what the OS sees...I have 3 gigs of ram + turbo memory in vista business and it showed 3 gigs.
