In that picture... cut the part of interest and make it larger so that it's readable.

Put the reinstall DVD in the drive.. Restart the computer Hold, F12 boot to CD Follow prompts, Format the hard drive, and do a fresh install!!!!!!! Honestly, best thing you can possibly do..... Just make sure you do not put the software CD back in and reinstall all of the bloatware.. haha just do the drivers only.. An whatever programs your gonna use.... Have fun!!!

    I disagree with that.

The Active Protection System is excellent and needed.
    The Ultranav is needed.
Certainly if you have a fingerprint reader and want to use it, that's needed.
If you have WLAN, you need Access Connections.

hey man to be honest just dont delete everything. man you bought a thinkpad. you know that thinkpad is known for its productivity software. i had my thinkpad for about 8 months and i can tell you this all of the thinkvantage is great. they really work better then the windows one.

and to honest with you the only reason i kept windows on this was because of the thinkpad shortcuts and thinkpad utilities. they really great and they just make the laptop unique.

well you know something when i got my laptop i was just amazed that it didnt have any software on it. except norton antivirus and picaso. i just got rid of those. and that was it. everything else was good. and my laptop is running like a charm.

and yes if you choose not to use any of the thinkvantage software then just get a windows os cd and just reinstall it it will better for you.

To create a factory install DVD (1 CD/DVD + 1DVD; or 7 CDs), go in Rescue and Recovery, create a backup media or something like that.
Hope you don't fail the burning process, as it allows you to do it once only (you'll need to reinstall Vista from the hidden partition to try it again).
