I've got my old 2.5 in. IDE drive (the 80gig, 4200 rpm Hitachi) in a Rosewill enclosure, and its recognized by my new T400. The problem is that I can't seem to be able to actually use the drive since the T400 is now asking me to format it before using it. Won't formatting the drive erase all information that's on it? I'd like to be able to get at my old files!

    Anyone experienced with this?
    thanks.
