My school bought a bunch of Lenovo Thinkpads (I think the model was e540). So the school system was nice enough to downgrade these laptops to Windows 7. Would it have been best to keep these laptops with Windows 8 instead of downgrading them? These laptops are so bad with Windows 7 installed that a week doesn't go by that one of these laptops have to be fixed. Any comments would be great . Thanks!

I don't think it really matters.

I suppose that depends on your opinion of Windows 8.

It should work fine with 7 but Windows 8 has some nice features like fast boottimes.
