The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Never really had a need to use it till today. Windows *restore point* if not *os repair* under windows --- machine was still being flakey.

    So I pressed the *blue thinkvantage* icon and use the recovery manager and the *snapshot* was back in June. It's slowly running.....

    I'm curious what exactly is it. A low level program that does a full and then incremental running in conjunction with the bios ?

    We'll see how well it works. Left the laptop alone slowly running with the recovery manager.
