The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Quick one for you guys & girls - I vaguely remember that there was a software utility that could be used to speed up the I/O for HDDs, accessed via a 2nd HDD Caddy in the T61 Ultrabay.

    I know it won't provide native SATA speeds (due to the Ultrabay being PATA based) but can anyone please point me in the right direction for it as I could swear I read about it here on NBR & over at the ThinkPad Forum (posted over there as well).

    Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
