Have you experienced screen flicker right after booting into windows and after resuming for sleep mode? This is the solution to screenflicker. I stumbled upon the solution in another thread: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=153286 I wanted to share this with my fellow Thinkpad owners!!!

It seems that this fix is great if you are not using an external monitor. If you need to use an external monitor you may need to reverse this as needed for full functionality with an external monitor.

This also solves the issue that Vista Ultimate owners have with freezes/flickering with the Dream Scene theme!

Thanks guys... for me, these glitches can be such a big nuisance. I just figure if I'm annoyed by these glitches someone else probably is too.

    I'm glad it helped!

I already created a thread in the general Windows forums. Is this really necessary?

This thread fell to page three or four before you just bumped it back up. I gave you credit for the fix in the first thread. It is a direct quote from you.

As you can see there are several people that didn't see it in the general forum and have appreciated this thread. I'd tend to say that if it helped some people then, Yes, it's necessary.

Touché. By the way, this didn't have to do with attribution (or retribution, for that matter); I was just questioning the relevance of the thread to this forum. But you make a good point.
