I have had my X61 for about 2 weeks now and I am having some annoying problems (although I am enjoying the laptop very much):

    1) After restarting from sleep, the fingerprint reader gets disconnected for whatever reason and it takes a few seconds before it is detected again so I can use it. Once in a while, it never gets detected preventing me from using the fingerprint reader unless I reboot. How can I fix this?

    2) The space bar is already getting worn out. I can see it getting shiny already. Is it common for the Lenovo keyboards to wear so easily?

    3) The PCMCIA slot is very tight, so tight that I cannot remove my Creative PCMCIA soundcard by using the eject stick. I must pull it out manually. Is this normal?

    4) There is a high pitched whine coming from the ventilation on the left side. Is this normal?

    5) I noticed that my X61 never came with the big sticker on the lid (like in the reviews here on NBR). Is Lenovo no longer putting the sticker on anymore?

If I can get some input, I'd appreciate it.

    2) My spacebar is the same. Same on every laptop I've used. I guess I'm an aggressive typist. :p
