Except the Last two, I would never even dream of buying any other models.

cool pics, i agree that first one looks like a plastic monster, the last two though are pretty stylish -- olympic rings, ooh ahh.

The first picture made by take a doubletake... it looks almost identical to the HP Nc6230 in layout.

We actually saw these in person yesterday but were not allowed to take pictures. Pretty sweet actually, a consumer line that's joint engineered with the old and new Lenovo folks. They're going to be price competitive too.

WoW.. Does that mean they won't be spoiling the ThinkPad line by incorporating elements from the Lenovo only Notebooks as seen above?
That is good news. They will have PCs that are price compatative and fancy looking for those interested in such and the Black awesome ThinkPads for the folks that love the way it is now
-
I'm tired and don't really follow your first question. There will be elements of ThinkPad in the Lenovo machines because their engineered by both teams.
-
Basically, Lenovo does not want to sell a widescreen glossy LCD notebook under the ThinkPad brand, but they're fine with selling a consumer level notebook under the Lenovo brand. And so that's what they're going to do in around April of this year. The American side of the design team insisted on improving the keyboard from what Lenovo had so they put a more ThinkPad feel of a keyboard on the consumer Lenovo machine and a few other things and will be selling this 3000 series in around April (the bottom two you see in the pics).

^what size are those laptops? 14 or 15.4?
-
Top looks like a 14" widescreen...or 15.4" widescreen
then 15.1" regular...
then 12.1" widescreen...
Last couple are hard to tell since I can't see the screen, but I'd say 14.1" widescreen -
I honestly can't remember, LOL. And we were not allowed to take pictures. We saw two models though, one was functioning, one was made of wood.
-
yeah, the last two are 15.4" and 14" that'll be released in America.
-
Nice! I wonder just how competitively priced these things will be. They kind of remind me of Sony notebooks...
-
sweet! do you know if either of them will have a GPU?
(edit)
nvm, from lenovo site, the orange and white one are 12" models
