    Hi guys,
    I am thinking about purchasing a T60.
In the specs, it says the drive is DVD Recordable. It's a DVD burner right?

I saw this sale on Lenovo website

    https://www-131.ibm.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=-840&storeId=10000001&productId=4611686018425151954&langId=-1&dualCurrId=73

    is this a good deal?
How long does it usually take for them to ship it??

am I also qualify for the rebate from intel, which i found on the costcentral.com?
    http://costcentral.rebateplace.com/detail.cfm?id=43328&CFID=5308875&CFTOKEN=83799877

    Thank you very much!

Seems fair. You can also search around to see if you can get an EPP code (employee pricing) which gives you better deals.
Also, here are some other discounted T60's
    Visa Discount:

    Mastercard Discount:

Shipping varies quite a bit. Their estimated ship date is pretty accurate but there are always instances of earlier or later shipments. Pre-configured systems are the quickest to ship.

    Thank you!

I also saw another T60 on the website for $1399, but I don't know why its original price is so high ($2499) before the sale, is it any better than the one in my previous post?

    http://www-131.ibm.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?productId=4611686018425151798&storeId=10821221&langId=-1&categoryId=2049168&dualCurrId=1201230&catalogId=-840

I looked at the specs, there's 3 things different
    1) 64MB ATI Mobility Radeon X1300 graphics / 128MB ATI Mobility Radeon X1400 HyperMemory graphics
    2) 80GB / 100GB HD
    3) 6 / 9 cell battery

are these difference worth 300 dollars??

I don't play game that much and I will probably have an additional external HD

should i get this $1399 instead? Is there a big diff. in battery life between 6 and 9 cell batteries?

However, i want this laptop last me for 3~4 years.

Only you can answer that question.

I have the $1399 machine and am basically glad about the deal. I intend to buy either an UltraBay battery or a 9-cell at some point, but otherwise I don't find I need the upgrades mentioned.
