My T400 has P/N 6474-AY2.
I checked on lenovo site and found this:
Original description: Based on 6474-11U: P8400(2.26GHz), 4GB RAM, 160GB 7200rpm HD, 14.1in 1280x800 LCD, Intel X4500HD, DVD, Intel 802.11agn wireless, Modem, 1Gb Ethernet, UltraNav, Secure chip, 6c Li-Ion, WinVista Business 32
But it doesn't match my laptop's config:
T400 P8400(2.266GHz)
2GB RAM, 160GB HD, 14.1in 1280x800 LED, Intel X4500HD, DVD, Intel 802.11agn wireless, Bluetooth, Modem, 1GB Ethernet, UltraNav, Secure chip, 6c Li-Ion, WinVista Business 32
I don't know what "Based on 6474-11U" means. But has the seller changed the HD and RAM?
another question: I heard someone say that A in 6474-AY2 means "for Asia". U may be for US and so forth. Can anyone confirm that?
Thank you so much.![]()

"AY2" does not mean it's for the asian market. it's simply a model number for a custom configuration.
