Get over yourself mate. The seller most likely found your pic on Google Image through search the laptop model.

Plus why are you complaining here, what can NBR do about it? Contact ebay if you want to be anal about it.

I think you need to get over yourself Mate ;) Obviously you don't know about photography copy right laws. You cannot use someone else photo's without permission. I didn't expect anything to be done here... was just making an observation as I only posted that particular picture on this forum, so someone here used it. It is also false advertising on eBay where your suppose to post actual pictures of what your selling. I didn't complain to eBay as it wasn't that big a deal and nothing can be done as it closes in 6.5 hours.

Happens all the time, copyright laws or not. Now you know, however, I would tell Ebay and contact the seller because it's the only photo and so is misleading to potential buyers.

How is the listing misleading? If the seller is selling a Y410P, the picture is a Y410P. Then it is not misleading.

Misleading as your suppose to post actual pictures of what your selling so people can look at it for flaws etc. When your spending $500+ on there, you want to see what your getting. Obviously you don't sell on eBay. I buy and sell on there all the time.

I'm a heavy user of eBay since I live in Australia (because Amazon is not really a viable option). I sell on ebay too, as long as the item you're selling has no external defects, then the photo you take and the photo you get from online will give the same information to the buyers, therefore by definition NOT misleading.

This thread should have been made in eBay's own discussion forum.

The photo lacks detail. However, the description for the eBay item is "Used working perfect condition".

If the buyer doesn't receive a machine in "perfect condition", they can easily file a claim and return the machine. It's called buyer protection and folks that don't describe what they are selling accurately open themselves to a claim like that. The seller only has 4 feedbacks registered so the seller is a bit of a rookie.

As for your copyright gripe, you might look at the rights you gave up when you posted the pic to this site.

Actually, I already mentioned more than once that it wasn't a big deal.
I just thought is was interesting that it was "borrowed" from this forum and the reason it lacked detail is because she "borrowed" my avatar which is quite small. So it had to do with this forum and why I posted it. So some of you are making this a bigger deal than it is. I never bothered to do anything on eBay. As for the forum rights. kinda like facebook, I never bothered to read that and most of what pics I post, I don't mind... but the ones I post are email/web size, so they can't be printed and will look blury if you see them full screen. I NEVER post full size resolution anywhere... so I don't worry about it. So thanks for the heads up. BTW I see you like Corvettes. I've had six of them over the years. My current one is

and the one I had before this one:
