Hmm... looking at the GPU specs it's not an extremely strong card. You'll be able to play some stuff fairly well... I've played Fallout 3, Oblivion, and Bioshock on an 8700M GT fairly well(about the same as far as benchmarks go)... but if you're looking for a real decent gaming machine there's far better out there for only slightly more money.

If you like the machine and are happy with the price you paid, who cares what someone else thinks?

There are bigger and better things to worry about. Like Fantasy Football.

dont worry about these people. some are perhaps making fun of you but in my opinion, you have made a very good purchase. this gpu of yours ranks on the upper mainstream gpu's on todays laptops. the core2duo cpu is more than enough for today's games(except some games such as gta which depend more on cpu than gpu). overall, you have made a very good purchase. don't regret it. many laptops with same configs are more expensive. Congrats for your purchase and hope you have fun with it.

I don't know if you want to read this, but I just ordered one with a T6600 CPU -- 2.2GHz, 2MB of L2 cache, and 800MHz FSB. The P7450 has is slightly better -- 2.13GHz, 3MBs L2 cache, 1066 FSB.

Here's a comparison link for other differences --

    http://ark.intel.com/Compare.aspx?ids=36734,37255

You can check this link too, where the T6600 is ranked at #57 and the P7450 is ranked at #52 --

    http://www.notebookcheck.net/Mobile...e=&month=&or=&search=&sort=sorting&type=specs

The price for my system - with the only difference being the T6600 - was $569

Is it worth a difference of $330? You could upgrade to a P9600 (ranked at #23) for that price with these specs - 2.66GHz, 6MB of L2 cache, and 1066MHz FSB

This site also has GPU gaming results for the nVidia 240M

Here's the offer, if anyone is interested

    I think it's limited to the first 750. The eCoupon code is -- USPY550ELITE -- for a $289 discount.

If it was in your price range and you like it then enjoy it. I wouldnt call it gaming laptop, but it should serve you well.
