I have a T500. Something is wrong with the screen's movement. The problem is in left-side. Please see attached two pictures.

The screen still works ok. I would like to know how to fix it. If it can be fixed at home, any pointer or tip is really appreciated.

    Thanks and regards!

uhh. Obviously your hinge is damaged and some of the parts need to be replaced. If you can find a parts for it you should be able to fix it without too much trouble.

Hinges and a lid are what you may need at the minimum as I am not sure if any damage extends to the actual chassis. Download the hardware maintenance manual from Lenovo Support and save the file. It is a PDF file which essentially is the instruction manual with all the diagrams needed to disassemble and reassemble your T500. It also has lists of all the FRU and PN (part numbers) that you might find beneficial when sourcing out hinges and the lid. Fleabay is often a place I go when I look for specific parts or you could ask at ThinkPads Forums in their marketplace. They are always helpful and are extremely reliable.

Did you drop your T500 on its corner?

Did not drop my T500, but the corner may have hit a bit hard somewhere sometime when I carried it.

Thanks for your detailed info, which is going to be my action plan!
