Sorry I know this has been answered already in some way. OK I have decided on a new computer and it will be the X200s with the 1280 x 800 screen, and with webcam, 320 Gb HDD & ultrabase & 22 inch monitor. I think about U$2,200 is a good deal for all this.

Now I have just installed a Samsung X360 (very light, but yes Zephir & a few others, not the flimsy machine you want to travel with, but it will simply sit on my lady's desk nothing more) and it has a resolution of 1280 x 800 on a 13 inch screen. Now I must say for me that is simply perfect. My query now is will the X200s 1280 x 800 screen make the letters still much smaller on its 12 inch frame or is it the same and I simply have less "real estate" so to say. Sorry but I am not that smart in these technical matters.

    Thanks, J.

Sorry also a 22 ich Lenovo (L220 or so I think) ... I am guessing the X200s will be able to run that at whatever is the standard resolution of that screen (1600 x something i guess)...?

Are you planning to buy the X200s in the U.S. or abroad? The U.S.-spec X200s has a 12.1" 1440x900 (not 1280x800).

As for comparing the 13.3" to 12.1", if both are 1280x800 resolution, you will see the same exact amount of information on both. Because the 12.1" is approximately 10% less surface area, the text and icons will be 10% smaller than on the 13.3". Because both are 1280x800, they have the same amount of viewable space.
