Hi...
I was wondering if any of you folks remember an old ThinkPad wall paper - it used to be available in blue and grey colours (and maybe black too). It just had the word "Think" written in white with the red dot in the characteristic ThinkPad way, which was either at the top right edge or the bottom left edge or something like that.
I have been hunting for it for a while. If anyone has it, could you please share it with me?
Thanks in advance.

Not sure if this has the exact one you want, but a LOT of old ThinkPad wallpapers are available at:

Thanks guys. But you know I have not found that one I initially was referring to. It looked very similar to the "Lenovo Swoosh" wallpaper, except that it only had the word "Think" in the TP style. It was written in either white or black and had a red dot on the 'i'.
Maybe I should make one of my own. Which leads me to ask: How does one remove the word "lenovo" from a wallpaper and include the word "think"? Obviously, it's got to look seamless.
I am also quite sure there was a world map (like the one available from the links you guys have posted above) - it was grey in colour and had the word Think in white (with the red dot of course).
Does this not ring a bell? Especially with the experienced TP users? -
I created the following collage:

Is it similar to what you're looking for? -
I think I know which ones you're referring to, and I know I have at least the black one. (pretty sure the white one too)
Once I get home later this evening from work, I'll post them to my flickr and post a link here.
Do you have a specific res you'd like? I think I may just have one size, but in case I have a variety of sizes... -
Is this the one? I'd like to get my hands on it minus the desktop.

Yes, but slightly different I think (don't recall the red nub towards the top being there). I know I have the black one (it's the wallpaper and login screen on my W7 T400), but am not sure on the other colors.
I'll post what I have later tonight. -
The red nub is the cursor iirc in the T400s touchscreen models, not part of the wallpaper. Please post the black version you have.
-
Oh okay, didn't know that.

Edit: I think there is one in a fading grey-scale too...but exactly like the ones that you posted here! Would you have that one too? -

the three images above are from the Lenovo Win 7 preload and are used for both the desktop background and logon screen. -

not sure... never used it myself. but, the description says it can be reverted at any time. it's also the #1 recommended app for this very task.
-
I just tried it... all it takes to revert to the default Win7 login screen is to hit the button saying 'revert to default'. Works like a charm.

Ah looks simple and elegant. Cool! Love the log on tweak as well.

Those look great! What program do you use to make them?
-
Oh, there wasn't much heavy lifting on my part. I found the images on deviant art and added the lettering myself via the Gimp.

Thanks again!
Edit: I forgot to add, for a 1280x800 res screen? Gosh! I am asking for too much! -

Now, I am going to get a bit more adventurous with a few variations:
(1) Is it possible to get a reflection of sorts under the word "Think" like in the image I currently use as my wallpaper? As the word is place on the upper right quadrant, the reflection would be like a band of gray that spreads down over the rest of the space.
(2) Is it possible to have a delicate filigree-style graphic along the left side of the screen? This would probably look good in some dark gray colour and would probably provide some "fill" to the black background...no? Perhaps, you as an artist would be able to rethink that in...well...more artistic terms?
Am I being able to convey what I am getting at?
Thanks a ton for the image!

Not bad, not bad at all.

the colour looks nice with the leafs... and the cartoon character (like Tigger) is good fun too.
