is there any way to increase the sensitivity of trackpoint? i've already turned my mouse speed and the trackpoint setting to max.

You could try the soft rim trackpoint--it requires less pressure than the other nubs and thus feels more sensitive.

Try unchecking "Enhance pointer precision" (aka. "Acceleration"). It does worsen the movement granularity by going 2 pixels at a time, so it won't be pixel perfect anymore.

The TrackPoint is also apparently polled (or is it interrupt based) at a relatively low frequency, so that may be contributing to it.

Are you playing games using the trackpoint? I found it fast enough for most daily tasks, and you really need the sensitivity & precision there to avoid going back and forth on small areas, especially when using it to select/draw in tight spaces.
