I'm not sure what is the problem but Thermal Monitor reports full processor speed all the time. Before TAT would say 800Mhz immediately, now 1800Mhz at the start for a little bit before C3 mode. Thereafter reverting back to 800Mhz and jumping to 1800Mhz briefly. TAT running with everything idle both cases.

It appears to have happened after the 2.07-1.08 bios update. I've tried to downstep the bios back a bit but the processor remains at full speed.

I've also looked at the hardware maintenance tool but that only changes serial number. Actually, nothing seems changeable except having csiacsum say checksum updated.

Is there some sort of force command to load version 1.x bios settings? I only see that revision 03 is the lowest I can go. There seems to be a 1.00 bios but I cannot find the bios files for that one.

    Can someone help out?

I'm not sure, but I've heard that one you upgrade your BIOS to version 2.07-1.08, you cannot downgrade to a previous version.

That is not true. I had succesfully downgraded from 2.07-1.08 to 1.26-1.06.
