    Hi all,
OK DUMB I know but I was eating dinner tonite watching a moving, and using the SAME cart I use for my laptop....not realizing, until too late, but some gravy spilled onto my keyboard, the VERY BOTTOM right side on 6 of they keys...well I wiped it all and thought all was good.
ASSUMING this caused my laptop to about 20 min. later just shut off, black screen, and nothing since....Anything I can do or is it too late? I loved this laptop, could kick myself, any help or advice would be appreciated. I am thinking of taking to a repair shop in am but hate to!!! Thanks in advance!!

    Love my T60 :)

Take it apart, clean it, let it sit for a few days to dry and hope for he best when you put it back together. You're probably looking at a board replacment. Just for future reference, the next time anything is spilled on your laptop, shut it off immediately.

    Have you tried:

    - Testing your AC adapter with a multi-meter

    - Testing your laptop with a known good AC adapter

    - Removed battery and AC adapter and holding down the power button for 30 seconds, at least 2-3 times

After this, there is a high probability your motherboard is dead. I would advise replacing the motherboard or getting another T60 just like yours and just pop in your existing hard drive.

take off the keyboard and clean it first, and see where the gravy have gone.
