I am facing a very weird problem. Whenever i start my laptop it freezes on the first screen itself(which says ThinkPad). Then, i have to hit a key on the keyboard(any key) to get it to start booting.

Also, my Browser back key has stopped working. Sometimes, when i double click to open a folder, it returns back to the original directory.

What could be the problem ? please assist me.

Do you have the latest BIOS installed?

I have installed the new BIOS but still the same problem ....

Can the start up problem be because that one key is continously pressed ( the browser back key)... i have a feeling that the key is pressed from within.
