I want to put a couple stickers on the back of my R61. Does anyone have any experience with bumper-stickers on the rubbery material on the lid? If I stick a high quality sticker on the lid will it damage it and will I ever be able to remove it?

    Anyone who's done it?

    Thanks,
    Sam

When I bought my ThinkPad it was a display model with 2 identifying stickers on the lid. I took them off and then used alcohol to clean the remaining glue off.
If you look just so at the right angle you can see a slight shadow (no big deal) on the lid. I hope this helps.
    Steve.

I have a bunch of stickers on the back of my t61p, and they stick onto the back fine, they haven't come off or anything. I also had some stickers on the back of a t60p before I got this one, and those stayed on fine.

    Thanks a bunch.

Kykyzachariah, you kind of misunderstood my question: I wasn't concerned about the stickers staying on, I was concerned about them not coming off without damaging the rubberized coating. But thanks anyway, at least now I know I won't have to buy new stickers each month!

It was apart of our tuition but it was still pretty cool. The design majors got macbook pros and engineering majors received the thinkpads. Every 2 years you traded it in for an upgrade.
