This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    Still possible to order T61p?!

    Forgive me if someone has already posted this, but:

    It appears that you can still order (configure and add to cart, I haven't tried checking out yet) a T61p with all the old options if you link directly to the T61p page itself.

    I don't know if this is any clue as to WHY they took it off, but on the "Accessories and Services" step, there's a little debug-esque checkbox marked "WW Mode - Off" that switches to "WW Mode -On" if you check it. All it seems to change are some warranty service options that add on to the end of your warranty. It seems unlikely that that's the reason to take it off the site, because all the other options are intact.

    Anyway, hope that helps.

    You can feel free to order it, but there's a reason that Lenovo took them off. Prepare for long wait times. >_<

    You can still order them all off of the state education sites if you have the proper credentials as well.
