I have t61 with Vista. Everytime I unplug it from charging the display dims; does anyone know how to stop this? I tried clicking FN and brightness no help.

    Thanks

Check your power manager settings for battery plan. You can modify the brightness lvls on battery there - set it higher or lower.
But it should still brighten up if you FN+HOME. So something could be going wrong there.

I haven't checked this on my R61 but IIRC, the default maximum display brightness is 2 ticks lower when running on battery than when running on AC. This is obviously to extend battery life but if it really bugs you I believe you can turn this "feature" off in the BIOS.

I think you can set it by going to the bios and setting the display in there.
