So I got my new 15.4" T61p today. Haven't really used it much except to turn it on and test it out, but I did notice that when I hold the laptop and raise the left side up and the right side down I'd hear a "clack" sound, and again when I bring the left side down and the right side up. What the heck is this? It feels like there's a plate inside sliding back and forth or something, right under where "Lenovo" is printed on the bottom. Anyone notice this? Is this something that would be considered a defect?

Something must be loose in there because mine is sturdy inside.

it may be your dvd/cd ribbon. There's a thread on how to remove it to remove that sound
