    Hello

I recently updated my Thinkpad's software/drivers through IBMs site using Access Connections.

Now there was a bunch of stuff that they put on there that i didn't want so i took it off and/or stopped it.

Now for some reason when i try to make the battery maximizer display run i get an error which reads below:

An exception occurred while trying to run "C:\PROGRA~1\Thinkpad\UTILIT~1\PwrMonit.dll,StartPwrMonitor"

Then, it creates a "windows error" message saying that windows explorer must close.

This is rather annoying since everything was fine prior and i was just trying to make sure i had all the latest drivers/updates.

    Any help is appreciated.

    thanks

Did you try to re-install it?

    Yes

It's strange because the battery maximiser "gauge" will appear when you first start the computer but then it will error and will cancel out.

    I'll try it again.

Not to resurrect a dead topic, but did you resolve this? I have the exact same problem. I was trying to update all of the system software/drivers with the System Update 2.0 program that they released a while back, it hasn't been working well, a lot of the programs have required manual install because the SU just freezes.

Anyways, I'm going to play around more, I'll let you know if I solve it...
