Had support replace my original T400 keyboard with the older T61 keyboard and when finished when I typed certain letter like "y" or "u", there would be another extra letter or character with them. On site tech said they would replace the mother board tomorrow but after he left, I restored a ackup image of my machine from the other day and somehow all is working well with the old keyboard 0 no missed strokes so far.

Don't know why the problem was there. Could it have been some type of spyware? Also, do you think I should go ahead and have motherboard replaced or leave things be for right now. Thanks a lot for all.

Leave workingg things alone. If you have a working backup, don't be afraid to use it.
