Hi guys!
I just received my new Thinkpad W520 on Wednesday, and was greeted by a stuck red pixel at the center of the screen. Try as I might, i tried to accept it, but i just can't. So I called Lenovo to initiate a return, and they told me I needed a tech support ticket first. I called Tech Support, and they told me to just bring it to a depot for repair and gave me a case ID.
So, here I am - a case ID from Lenovo, and a Case ID from a local depot where I'm bringing my laptop on Monday. My question - anyone else have experience with this? Can I relax and assume that my screen will be replaced? Or will the depot take my laptop and call me a week later telling me they can't do anything?

Here's the policy statement:
Display (LCD) replacement for defective pixels - ThinkPad
It's possible that being red and at the center of your screen may make a difference. It doesn't hurt to try.
Stuck pixel service ticket - should I be hopeful?
